# Profile

> Edit your name, photo, and profile fields on the event page, write your introduction with AI, and see which details other participants can view.

Your profile is what other participants see when they browse **Participants** or receive your meeting request. Which fields it has depends on your participant type and the host's setup. It's editable at any time, including while your registration is awaiting approval.

<Note>
  Changes take effect only after you select **Save** at the bottom of the page.
  That includes a new photo.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your profile">
    On the event home, select **Edit profile** next to your name. The account menu in the top-right corner also has a **Profile** entry. While your registration is awaiting approval, the **Edit profile** button on the event page opens it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Change your photo">
    Select **Change photo** and choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF file up to 4 MB. In **Crop photo**, drag the image to frame it and use the slider to zoom, then select **Apply**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill in the fields">
    Fields are grouped under **Basic info**, **Event questions**, and **Links**. **Name** is always required. Required fields show an asterisk, and the bar under your name counts how many of them you've completed. Until every required field is filled in, the event home shows **Complete your profile** with the same bar.

    * Link fields: enter a web address. For LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X, type your username after the platform prefix or paste the full profile link. A link to a different platform is rejected.
    * Choice fields: choose one option, several options, or the last-level items of a grouped list.
    * File fields: select **Choose file** for an image, PDF, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file up to 4 MB. A file you uploaded earlier is shown as the current file and is replaced only when you choose a new one.
    * Fields marked **Set by host** were filled in by the host and are read-only.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write your introduction">
    If the profile has an introduction field, **Write with AI** appears next to its label. It writes a short draft from your company, job title, choice answers, and participant type, so fill those in first. The button stays disabled until your company, job title, or a choice answer has a value.

    Once a draft is in place, the button reads **Write another** and **Revert** appears under the field. **Write another** discards the current text, including any edits you made, and writes a fresh draft from the same facts. **Revert** returns to the text you had before the first draft. Review the draft before you save. The counter under the field shows the character limit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Save**. **Profile saved** confirms it. If a required field is empty, the field is marked and the save stops.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What other participants see

* Your name, photo, and participant type appear in **Participants** for everyone who can see your participant type.
* Company, job title, and the other fields appear only if the host made them visible to participants. Ask the host which fields are visible.

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The photo was rejected">
    Only JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files up to 4 MB are accepted. Convert the
    image or reduce its size and select **Change photo** again. The same 4 MB
    limit applies to files you attach to a field.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Write with AI is disabled">
    The hint under the field says what to add: your company or job title, or an
    answer to a choice field. Enter one and the button becomes available without
    saving first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A field shows Set by host">
    The host entered this value for you. Contact the host to change it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Save is disabled">
    The button waits while a photo uploads or a draft is being written. If the
    host made a field required while you had the page open, the save is refused,
    the fields reload, and the new required field is marked.
