# Email notifications

> Reference for the Email notifications page: the Meetings and Announcements switches, emails that are always sent, and what the unsubscribe link changes.

**Email notifications** in the account menu lists the emails this event sends to your address and lets you turn each kind on or off. The page is available once you've entered the event, including while your registration is awaiting approval. Each switch saves the moment you change it. The address under the title is the one you signed in with, and every email from this event goes there.

## Switches

| Switch | Emails it covers | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Meetings** | Meeting requests, replies and changes, and reminders | Shown in events with meetings (Meet & AI). |
| **Announcements** | Emails the host sends to participants, including invitations | The unsubscribe link at the bottom of those emails turns this switch off. |

Registration emails, such as the result of your registration, are always sent. Turning **Meetings** off stops only the emails. New requests still appear under **Meetings** on the event page.

## The unsubscribe link in emails

Announcement and invitation emails end with an unsubscribe link. It opens a confirmation page that names the event and, in events with meetings, reminds you that meeting emails continue. Select **Unsubscribe** to confirm.

* Unsubscribing turns off **Announcements** for this event only. **Meetings** and registration emails keep coming.
* The page then shows **You're unsubscribed** with a **Go to Email notifications** button that opens **Email notifications** for the event.
* To resubscribe, turn **Announcements** back on.

## Troubleshooting

    The unsubscribe link covers announcements and invitations only. Turn off
    **Meetings** on this page to stop meeting emails. Registration emails are
    always sent.

  <Accordion title="A switch flipped back">
    The change wasn't saved and **Couldn't save your notification settings.
    Please try again.** appeared. Change the switch again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="This link is no longer valid">
    The unsubscribe link in that email no longer works. Sign in to the event and
    turn **Announcements** off in **Email notifications**.
