# Check-in QR code

> Which emails carry your check-in QR code, how to show it at the venue entrance, and what to check when it's missing.

Your check-in QR code identifies you at the venue entrance. Approved participants get it by email, with a 16-digit number printed under the code. The code doesn't change, so any of these emails works at the door.

| Email | When it arrives |
| - | - |
| **Your registration was approved** | When the host approves your registration. |
| **You're in** | When you join without needing approval: you accepted an invitation, or registered for an event that doesn't require approval. |
| Event reminder | 1 day and 1 hour before the event starts, unless the host turned reminders off. |

At the entrance, open the email and show the QR code. **My ticket** under the code opens your ticket in the browser, where the code is larger and easier to scan. If you're signed in to the event site, **My ticket** on the home page opens the same ticket.
